Out of curiosity, has anyone else run into this? Not everything we create where I work goes out assembled, but everything still needs to be shown assembled so that bolts can be shown in proper places. When we used AutoCAD we input Excel BOM's that were basically a sub assembly that had numbered components, bolts, lockwashers, etc. These would be the bolts we would/would not use and we would package them and send them with the product.

I guess my question boils down to, how can I insert a sub assembly and give it's components numbers without SolidWorks trying to give EVERY sub assembly component individual numbers?
