Use Dynamic Data Exchange with eDrawings

Hello ;

did anybody try to use Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) with eDrawings, in order to open only one instance of eDrawings (process) on the computer ?

I tried to set the registry as common usage in the registry (as SolidWorks for example) :

     command -> C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\EDRAWI~1\EDRAWI~1.EXE /dde

     ddeexec ->   [open("%1%")]

Another try with C:\PROGRA~1\FICHIE~1\EDRAWI~1\EMODEL~1.EXE but without result. About this executable, what is it for ?

I've this need because we have old computers in our workshop, and each time they want to open an other file, it takes long time to initiate a new process.

I just want to "catch" the already running instance of eDrawings to open the other file (in a new window).

We could save time (of running several process) and load memory which is small on this old computer.

Thansk in advance for your return.
