Hi all,
I hope someone can point me to a simple setting or fix, but I'm not holding my breath...
Last week we finally upgraded from 2023 to 2026 (Professional, SP2.1), after about 200 hours of expensive labour to get our library ready for Visualize. I'm still mad about it but it had to be done.
Now we're in a whole new world of pain. We have an extensive library built up over the years. After the upgrade, random components seem to be suppressed or unsuppressed in those library assemblies. To the point that we're going to have to check and repair every file if we want to be sure our BOMs are actually correct. And we do want them to be correct, to no-one's surprise.
If this really is the only way, this is going to cost us another 200k in labour. After we just swallowed the pill for the upgrade. I'm really baffled by this. This is not the only issue we have after upgrading. Parts dissapearing in assemblies, only to return when Solidworks is restarted. Errors on completely valid equations after a P&G, which magically are fine after copy-pasting the equation back in. Visual glitches in simple, one-feature parts. Multiple crashes each day. Sure, there's always something to expect, but this one seems really bad.
Does anyone recognize this random suppressed/unsuppressed issue? The weird thing is: when I open such assembly and hit File -> Reload, it's fine. Until I switch configurations or close the file and open it again. So I've got a bit of hope the right data is still there and it's only some configuration or setting that's messing things up. I'll call my VAR next monday, but I don't have high hopes to be honest. Haven't been able to help much in the past.
So please, if anyone has a lead to a fix for this, I'll be forever grateful.
Thanks and enjoy the weekend
