I tried to launch Solidworks today, and was notified that an update is available.  To get the update, "Open the Compass, then expand the drop-down menu next to Connected SOLIDWORKS Application and click the colored update icon."

There IS no "Connected SOLIDWORKS Application" button, nor any Solidworks button, let alone one with a drop-down menu.  Am I missing something obvious?
