I am unable to use decimals in default values in the Property Tab Builder. Does anyone else have this issue?

I really want one number to start at 0.5 because that is our company default value, but the PTB will not accept any special characters; not 0.5, nor 1/2

All I can enter is a whole number or nothing so I am going with nothing for the time being.
