I am unable to trim away the surface overlapping the ruled surface area towards the inside of my model.

What makes it even more frustrating is the whole model turns orange whenever I hover my curse over the area in cross section view. Why does this happen?

Somebody please fix it for me.

I've tried using standard and mutual trim to no success.

Usually using the ruled surface as a the timing tool works but not this time arhhh
