Hello,

I have measured a shifting drum and typed the X-Y data in Excel. Then I smoothed the curve and exported the X-Y and dummy C values to a TXT file.

This TXT file could be imported into Solidworks (2017) resulting in a yellow curved line.

The idea is to transform this line to a real Solidworks Sketch by using Convert Entities in a new Plane.

Then I like to create an area of this line by using Offset Entities.

This area must be Wrapped around an other Sketch of the raw drum and given a depth of 5 mm.

Must do this trice, there are three areas in the shifting drum.

I'm not able to do the Offset Entities........
