A former co-worker designed a conveyor frame using square tubing from the toolbox. He edited the pieces and saved them as new part numbers in a folder other than the toolbox. Now after he is gone we open the assembly and all of the toolbox components are back to the standard toolbox components. Even as far as all of the parts in the assembly are the toolbox part, residing in the toolbox not the revised ones saved in our working folder. It is easy to replace the individual parts with the correct ones, he also had the habit of fixing everything, but having to replace every time gets old. I have tried everything I can think of to break the links without success, including breaking all external references, making each part independent and doing a pack and go with no success.

      Does anyone have any ideas before we completely remodel the assembly? The first picture is how it should look, the second is how it looks every time it is opened. I have attached both the assembly and a drawing pdf.
