I have 3 nipples that need threads..... and I can't seem to make them.

I've been watching tutorial videos, and I just read a thread here about the different ways to do it. In none of these cases am I able to reproduce the results of making a thread and it's getting rather frustrating.

The 1/4" and 1/2" nipples need the corrisponding pipe thread (NPT) and the 3/8" nipple needs an internal 3/8" FPT thread.

Can somebody please show me how to do this? I've been working at it for hours and achieved nothing. I can't seem to get a revolved cut to work properly.... what plane am I supposed to be drawing the "tool" on?? when I draw it on the "Right" plane I'm unable to select any other features to revolved the tool around.
