I put together a wedge system consisting of a hexagonal carbon fiber rod, two wedges, and a sleeve. I mated the parts and submitted contact sets and attempted to create a mesh. It was partly successful, but the mesh for the rod failed resulting in this error window:

After clicking OK, the mesh resulted as seen here:

I have no idea how to fix this. I tried decreasing the elements and making the elements coarser but it didn't help. The file is attached to this post. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
