My co-workers and I were trying to remember why the SW triad points the way it does?
I contend that Z is up & down, X is left to right and Y is in & out. We had this discussion 20 years ago, I just don't remember why they have Y and Z backwards on the triad?
As far as I know, all the machining industry has XYZ as I outlined above. I don't think automotive is like SW is either, they have Z as up and down.
What industry uses XYZ as SW uses it?
Thank you,
Dan B.
P.S.
1) I wish you could change it.
2) I'm not trying to start an argument.
