Good Afternoon all:

I have a filename with a format like 12345av00001.sldasm. What I'd like to do is set a file card variable to av00001 in a transition action using a formula like: "\\\$Mid(%filename%,5,\\\$Sub(\\\$Len(%filename%),12))". My issue is that it is not evaluating anything other than the %filename% portions. Is it possible to have a formula in the Value field during a transition action for setting a variable?

The other method i thought through was using input formulas on the field, and writing the filename to a dummy text field, but this would require the user to manually update the dummy field, which is less than desirable.
