Hi all,
I’ve performed a topology optimization study in SolidWorks Simulation and then used the "Export to Solid Body" function to save the result. When I open the new solid body to run a static analysis, I notice that the component appears as a triangulated mesh (small facets) rather than clean, parametric surfaces.
As a result, I’m unable to select proper faces to apply fixtures and loads — only individual triangular elements are selectable, which makes setup very difficult.
What is the correct workflow to define fixture and load surfaces on a part that has been exported from a topology study?
Is there a way to convert or reprocess the geometry so that I can get clean selectable faces?
Any tips for working with such post-topology models in static studies would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
