I voted "No" to all ideas that are asking for fixing bugs or adding functionality that we know is being addressed anyway. I will do that for all the bug reports, not because they do not need to be addressed ASAP, but because here we should brainstorm new ideas not complaining about bugs.
That being said, maybe we should have a top 10 list of SPRs to be addressed.
It pains me to see bugs taking the place of new ideas. Looking at top 10 ideas lists for the past 3 years (thanks Tom Smith for providing them), here is what I see
2011 - ideas 0,1,3,8,9
2010 - ideas 1,2,3,5,10
2009 - ideas 1,2,3,5,7,9,10
are not really enhancements, but bug reports or things that we know SW development would like very much to implement and is probably working on them anyway (if possible).
Here's 2011's list:
9. Pressing Escape key should immediately return control of the interface
8. File compatibility between versions
7. Making the "ideas" section (in the forum) available all the time, not just for SWWorld.
6. Convert a solid body into a surface body without having to delete, offset, or knit faces.
5. Enhanced equations input and editing and linking.
4. Freeze features
3. SolidWorks should cleanly uninstall itself.
2. Option to dangle children instead of deleting.
1. Better utilize processor cores.
0. Angle mates don't flip at random.
2010:
#10 Simplify Video Card Requirements
#9 Exploded views for weldments
#8 Option to dangle children instead of deleting them
#7 Graphical Map of References
#6 Allow more types of assembly features
#5 Better utilize all processor cores
#4 On the fly equations in dialog boxes
#3 File compatibility between versions
#2 Increase stability
#1 SolidWorks should cleanly uninstall itself
2009:
1. Increase program stability
2. Clear memory when a file is closed
3. SolidWorks backwards compatibility
4. Rename configurations that are in use.
5. Faster rebuild in complex models
6. On the fly equation editing
7. Dual Monitor Support
8. Add lock point for model rebuilds
9. Abort any running command by pressing ESC
10. Excel behavior in tables
Such a waste of space. On the other hand, Tom is right again when he is saying that it is not really users' fault, but SW's, since they have not opened a Top 10 SPR list for such complaints.
How hard would be to start a Top 10 bug list, so SW would know what pains its users the most? Moreover, it will go a long way to re-affirming and proving again SolidWorks commitment to listening to its community of users.

And a completely unrelated question: why do we get points just by voting on ideas???
