Toolbox and PDM Std/Pro

Hi Forum!

I'm hoping to gather some input from you guys' experiences with Toolbox and PDM.

Which setup works best in your opinion and which setup gives less problems during upgrade (which is my major current head ache).

Setup 1:

All of Toolbox inside PDM, creating configurations.

Setup 2:

All of Toolbox inside PDM, creating parts in e.g ...\Toolbox\Created parts\.

These two work, but i keep running into problems during upgrades, both major and minor (SP) upgrades.

I'm thinking half the times, i end up with performing a manual upgrade of the Toolbox after SOLIDWORKS is upgraded.

I also have Toolboxes with custom Descriptions, Materials and Part numbers i need to keep.

Setup 3:

Toolbox on a network drive, creating parts inside PDM.

I haven't actually tried this, but it appears more and more appealing to not have to deal with PDM regarding Toolbox upgrades.

Any other Toolbox setup that will work (better)?

And if you have any clever configuration tips inside the Toolbox, please share, there is so much i don't know.

Thank you in advance,

Martin
