Can someone with experience with CNCs can tell me if the tolerance on the depth of a feature is the same as the tolerance on the position/dimension of the feature?

For example, let say I have a block of 2 x 3 x 1/2". I machine a simple rectangular pocket of 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/8" in its surface. (1/8 being the thickness). Can the tolerance be the same on the 1/8 as it would be on the 1/2?
