Many of our engineers came out of Creo and don't comprehend that every assembly doesn't have to look like a kaleidoscope.  Therefore, our part templates have the "Apply appearance" box unchecked in the materials dialog.

Is there a way to toggle this with a macro?

     Right click the part's material

     Select "Manage Favorites"

     Pick a material

     Activate the "Appearance" tab

     Select the "Apply appearance of:" box

Is there a quick way to toggle it quickly without a macro?
