I am using Enterprise PDM 2009 and am running into users not changing the state of a file back to released once they change it to an ECO state. This causes users outside of engineering to not be able to see the file. I am wondering if there is a way to write a API that would notify the originator of the state change after a set amount of time. This would continue to occur until the file is release once again. I am using Visual Basic Express as my editor. I have very basic knowledge in the VB area and even less in the PDM addins.

Also if anyone has another solution that you think might work better I am open to suggestions. Thanks
