I know that when making a tapped hole there is a cosmetic thread; it seems that this is nothing more than a representation for Solidworks use only whether that be in the part model or adding a note to the drawing.  The cosmetic thread that I am used to in Pro-E actually shows an extruded surface to represent the major diameter of the thread as well as the thread depth.  I want to implement a similar surface in my Solidworks designs; has anyone figured out a simple, effective, non time consuming way to do this?  Thanks for your help.
