Test #1
Create 1000 instances of 2 features using a linear pattern with "Instances to Vary" on, using SOLIDWORKS 2015.
Observations:
1. 1 (one) Core was used for background feature computations. Since the Geometry Pattern option was not used, SOLIDWORKS had to recreate each sketch and each feature one by one. Question: why can't this type of computation be done in parallel, when the new features are independent from each other???
2. All cores are used during the graphic generation phase (creating graphical triangles). Good job, SOLIDWORKS!!!
Test to follow: Compare the opening and graphical regeneration of a large assembly in SW 2015 versus SW 2016.
