Right I have a good understanding of templates and sheet formats- BUt struggling understanding this

here is my scenario:

I have an old drawing with an old drawing sheet

I want to swap it out for a new template that I have newly created.

Here is my issue

it only shows me the sheet formats in the properties and not the templates.

I would like a little light shed on this please.
