tank bulkhead

Good Afternoon,

I'm attempting to model a fuel tank, the big ones u see might see on the back of a truck chassis on the highway. The bulkheads are a "rectellipse" in shape and are quite complex and giving me an issue. My first question is :....I have an equation for a rectellpse which i found on Wolfram Alpha...Rectellipse -- from Wolfram MathWorld.

Could such an equation be used in solidworks to speed up the process of creating different sizes.

And my second question is in regards to not using an equation but just the regular sketch and extrude.

Imagine if your only looking at a quarter of the bulkhead;the way the bulkheads are formed, they have 3 different radii per quarter. I have no problem sketching them in 2-d however when i do extrude the shape it does not resemble a bulkhead because it just extrudes the entire shape, unlike when the actual sheet metal is pressed into shape to have a depth.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
