Hi All,

I am having a difficult time properly mating some parts in an assembly. The issue is that the direction says a tangent mate is to be applied on the bracket and the curve face but no matter what faces/edge or combination I do of those that will result in a correct mate. Any time I apply a tangent mate it doesn’t change the performance of the parts. Despite having a tangent mate applied, they curve never actually touches the part it was mated to after it was applied.

The idea is for the clamps to be tight as if they were being tightened by the bolt. I am attaching a screenshot of the assignment and a section from it to help show my issue (area of concern circled in red). Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
