Hi all- I am new to SolidWorks so I am struggling a bit here. I have three parts that I managed to successfully assemble into the final "part" (only took me two days!). I now need to essentially cut this assembly into its respective 1/4 symmetry elements so my ANSYS analysis can pickup the parasolid files (one for each primary part in the assembly) and do its thing. I see the "Symmetry Check" feature included in the Professional version of SolidWorks does just this thing, but alas I have only the Standard version so I need to find out how to essentially do this manually. I would assume I should be able to create and position two reference planes then tell SolidWorks to section the assembly along these planes so that I can delete the three redundant symmetry elements leaving the one behind.
Does anyone know how to do this that could also explain how to a beginner?
