Hi all hope you are all well.
I am having a problem trying to work out the best way to achieve a cutout.
What we have is a cap that is a triangulation shape at the bottom which is then lofted up to a circle. This is not a problem however we have been asked to review producing this part with grooves around the diameter and also vertically.
So far we have tried creating a swept using the triangulation sketch as the path which works for one groove. However we have then tried various ways to try to pattern this up the cap but due to the shape and the taper it has this does not work,
We have also tried to pattern the sketch but again this gave us issues.
We have tried also to draw the sketch of all the grooves required then re-create each one in a sketch then use the triangulation for the path again. However this also did not give us an answer and said there was no starting point.
If anyone can give any help in a direction we could go to achieve this then it would be greatly appreciated.
I have also attached the model of the cap.
Thanks you in advanced.
