Hello, first time poster, but I've been using solidworks for almost 2 years now. I have recently been interested in modeling a triangulated beam and doing some stress analysis on it. I want it to be 'made' out steel piping 'welded' together. I immediatly thought of the sweep function and gave it a wirl. It works great for say, a rectangle, but try and put a diaganal line connecting the corners and it just won't do it, It refuses to select all of those entities. I'll attach an image of an example. So whats the deal? It just doesn't like more than 2 lines intersecting? It would make it much much easier to have this work. I could just extrude/sweep the diaganal, but down the line it makes some really gross looking corners (and it a pain). 3rd demo was done in this way, but I cannot do this for corners with 3 or more lines that intersect at wierd angles. Any thoughts? Thanks, I appreciate it.
