Wish i know how better to explain this...but one of our engineers just found this, what i would like to call SW error. He was trying to supress three standoffs in an assembly. Its the same standoff, 3 instances. He clicks the hex face of one, then the tapped hole edge on another, and the hex edge of another. Right clicks, and supresses the "part". Lo and behold he in fact supresses the features internal of the part. How does this happen? Is there a way to stop this? This immediately throws up a dozen mate errors.
Is this some setting that allows this to happen? It doesnt appear to happen if you chose three different parts, or different faces of the three instances. It only happens when you click on a mixture of edges of the different instances of the same type of part file.
We are using SW2011 SP 5.
Give it a try, it suprised me.
