I got the below response on my SR from trying to get a license file for a Plastics Network.  They say it won't work on VMs?  Something about the software that reads in the USD files gives an error if its a VM.   Any thoughts or has anybody else run into this and figured a workaround?  Seems so wrong to me that its hard to believe...

From My SR:

The virtual server does provide an issue when it comes to SW Plastics as Plastics does not support virtual machines.  The .usd provided as it is provided from a virtual machine, does not allow for a license to be created. The suggestion provided from the Plastics manager would be if they can install it on a regular machine but of course, that means SolidWorks would have to be running on a regular machine as well. He is currently looking to see if there are any alternatives, however SW Plastics not supporting virtual machines is a known current limitation of the product.

After the commercial release of 2013 when Plastics is on activation as an add-in with the Solidworks software, if they are successful in running SW on VM now, then Plastics should work as they will be running on the same software.  However VM isn't supported for SW Plastics at this time.
