Hi,
It's been a very long time since I've had to be concerned with SW installation. We will be upgrading next week to SW 2012 (network license). As I am getting a "standard options" file ready for this, I recall that some options point to a folder in the local user profile.
For example, if my username is "thisguy" and I want my backup folder to be in a subfolder of my local TEMP, and I'm on Windows 7, the setting might look like "C:\\Users\\thisguy\\AppData\\Local\\Temp\\swbackups". However when installed on a computer used by "otherguy", the folder will exist in "thisguy"'s profile and thus be unwriteable.
Can I embed an environment variable such as %TEMP% and will the installer handle it as intended? Or is there a preferred way to make this work?
Thanks.
