I originally installed SW 2017 student version and would recieve the .net framework error upon start up. I then updated my Windows 7 and now have the service pack 1 installed. SW now opens fine but every time I click on New Document it just freezes and says an error has occurred and SW needs to shut down. I have uninstalled and reinstalled SW numerous times ensuring my anti-virus and etc was not interrupting anything. I can't install SW in safe mode with networking because it is unable to access everything for the install. I have tried to reinstall while going to regedit and typing in RemappedElevatedProxiesPolicy and setting it to 1 before the install and changing it back to 0 after to ensure the Windows 7 update wasn't screwing with the installation. I have tried repairing the installation and running it as an administrator. I am completely out of ideas and have not been able to find any other possible solutions. I greatly appreciate any help and if this is not in the appropriate forum please let me know which forum would be best as I am new to this.
