Hi all,

I have attached my model - a front crash structure for a car.

As you can see Iv made it all out of structural members, and at the front I have added a strengthing plate through drawing a sketch and extruding it.

When I come to using FEA on the single part...

It wont recognise the plate as joined to the weldments I have... any ideas how to have weldments and featured sketches in an FEA model?

( I've made it in a sinlge part as the last time i created it in an assembly and when i came to mating together the weldments together and then trim and extending them together, it said you cant use that feature on two seperate parts... anyway around this?)
