Good day Everyone,
I have solidworks 2012 installed on 2 laptops and ran the solidworks benchmark on both of them. I am still confused as to the results I got. Below are the results and the benchmarks
1. Lenovo Y480
- 3rd generation Intel Core i7-3610QM Processor( 2.30GHz 6MB)
- Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64
- NVIDIA GeForce GT640M-LE 2GB
- 8.0GB PC3-12800 DDR3 SDRAM 1600 MHz
- 14.0" HD Glare with integrated camera 1366x768
1TB 5400 rpm
Solidworks Performance test
Graphics = 232 , CPU =254.8, I/O= 179.4, Rendering =55.8 , overall = 662

Both laptops are not workstations as I dont intend to be doing huge assemblies. But why should the HP with lower specs be doing better than the Lenovo with more advanced
and higher specs?
Thanks for your reply.
