I am attempting to simulate a uniform pressure along 3 components of a astragal extrusion for a sliding glass door, but I continue to get an error stating that the model has insufficient fixtures and is unstable. Attached is a 2D autocad draft of the extrusion. The picture is not the exact model that I am simulating since I removed all insignificant features such as fillets in order to get the model to mesh. The simulation gets to 80% then the error comes up. I have checked the soft spring option to stabilize the model. Other conditions to mention is that the extrusion has a gap between bottom and top segmented frame, I am not to sure if SolidWorks allows me to keep this condition. Can anyone please give me suggestions on how I can perform this analysis without sacrificing conditions mimicking the real life scenario.
