Hello,
Still getting use to this spline-fit process and its use. I dunno if I am in the right process. I seem to have more luck extruding when my sketch turns into a spline for some reason. The object on the left is a copy/paste from a part's sketch in a different file (tyical CMU for a wall). My objective is the object on the right. All I wanted to do is make a new part without the one curve on the right side of the first object and make a straight line instead (for a typical corner CMU). What I did was copied my first object, drew a straight line and then trimmed the curve off. After that (3rd object) I used spline-fit to make object 1 entity. Is this really what I should be doing to do this. I tried to copy and paste the orginal part when extruded but If I tried editing it it would edit both. My real problem is that I try to reuse (paste) a sketch and keep original for one area and the edited version for another area but all types of problems occur when extruding. It seems like making completely different parts might be the ultimate way to go but seems very unneccesary.
Any input is greatly appreciated. File "CMU's" is original extruded sketch. Part 2 is where I copied CMU file's sketch and pasted.
Tnx,
Brian
