Specifying proper number of cores for 100 user ePDM deployment?

I am likely to deploy ePDM in an environment that will eventually have at least 100 users interacting with it throughout the day. The environment will be running on vmware esxi so I'll have the luxury of allocating core quantities and RAM pretty easily. I have not been able to find any type of literature out there that helps me figure out how many cores and how much RAM to allocate based on anticipated load.

I have read that the instance of SQL Server provided by SW with ePDM has some license restrictions regarding how many cores you can use, but in my case I have a generous site license with MS and so I can allocate as many cores as I want to SQL Server without the license / cost concern.

I am likely to deploy all of the ePDM components (SQL Server, IIS for web access, database server, archive server, index server, etc.)

Does anyone have any advice as to how to size a deployment in regard to cores, etc.?

Thanks!

Barry
