As per the video: Solidworks Elevated Mode Issue (no solution!) - YouTube 

You can see that the shell launcher is not set to run as admin, however double clicking a file will cause SW to open in elevated mode. If I launch SW via desktop or start menu shortcut, then open the file, I don't run in to this issue. Any ideas?
