Solidworks says this student edition has expired but I just installed it.

I installed Solidworks 2018/2019 on my desktop and was told that my activation count was exceeded. I don't think that's actually the case since other students have done the installation and activation before and after I had this error. It also says my activation expired on 10/7/18. I had the same error on my laptop, but then it just went away and now the license says its good until next year. Unfortunately my laptop is barely powerful enough to run Solidworks, which is why I was installing on my desktop. I have tried uninstalling completely, down to removing the reg key entries, and still have the same error. I have read the forum posts, but nothing has helped. I don't find a way to contact Dasault for this issue and my school hasn't been helpful either. I need to get this working for a class project due in 4 weeks so it is rather urgent that I get this fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
