I prefer hidden lines to be green because they have much better contrast against my background. I have set the Hidden Lines color to green in both my part and assembly templates.

A new part keeps the green hidden lines after saving and reopening. However, as soon as I assign or change the material, SolidWorks resets the hidden lines back to grey.

The option “Apply same color to wireframe, HLR and shaded” is disabled.

What I need is:

• Keep the function Apply appearence of "selected material" - ON. Because we have agreed on specific colours for different materials.
• But hidden lines should always remain green.

I already have a macro button to restore them to green, but is a bit anoying always reset the colors back.

Is this normal behavior, a SolidWorks 2021 bug, or something caused by the material library?
