A number of you have been emailing me to ask about the plan for SOLIDWORKS PCB Training. Thought I'd share a post here with our plans.

1. Currently Available - SOLIDWORKS 2016 PCB Quick Start Training for VARs. As the name says, it is a quick start and not an in-depth training course that can lead to certification or deep understanding of the product. This is currently available in SOLIDWORKS University and is only for VARs (not customers).
2. Next Week - SOLIDWORKS PCB Training Manual. This is a 2 day class. This is a quick and simple re-badging of some of the Altium training materials. We knew we had to get something out there quickly for VARs to use. It is not written like a traditional SOLIDWORKS training manual with lessons and exercises and our typical fonts and formats. While not perfect or written in our style, it was being used for Altium customers and should fill the VARs immediate needs. The manual will be available for purchase in the DS Graphics web store as early as next week.
3. In Progress - SOLIDWORKS PCB eLearning. This will be the first full SOLIDWORKS PCB course that the Training team creates. It will be customer facing, but of course VARs can use it too. I do not have a release timeline for that course as we are still in the early stages of development and it takes significant effort to create a course from scratch.
4. Future - SOLIDWORKS PCB Book That We Write From Scratch. This is far off in the distance. We will not start this until work is complete on #3 above. It will not be available in 2016.
