I can login into my new account, but it gets to the change password policy page and refuses any password I put in.

Yes it is at least 6 characters long and no, I have not used this password before.

and yet ...... I can login with this old account, that does not ask to change the password!!!!

Note:- different account names and passwords.

Hmmmmm???
