I have a 2014-15 educational license on Windows 8.1 Pro. On many drawings, I get to a point where I perform an action, and then if I click the save button, SolidWorks will lock up. I can't click on anything or interact with the program at all. I don't get the crash dialog box, and windows task manager doesn't show the program is taking up large amounts of the CPU or memory. I have to end the program through task manager. I can usually go back and step through the actions I was doing, one at a time, and clicking save until I find what it is. On this drawing I am working on now, if i try to modify a dimension (say, by adding "THRU" to the end of an annotation) and then click save, it does it. I tried disabling all add-ins and running the .exe as Windows 8 compatibility, and neither of them helped. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
