"Solidworks is not responding" on Windows 7 SW 2011 x64

While working on even basic assemblies with 5-10 parts and 2-3 toolbox parts, my Solidworks often freezes. If I click anywhere, the typical windows 7 error message pops up and says "Solidworks is not responding"

I'm running Solidworks 2011 x64 bit on Windows 7. My hardware is a brand new 15" bootcamped Macbook Pro with 4gb RAM and a 2.2GHz Core i7, which I think is plenty fast for the basic models I'm working with.

The problem happens during a wide variety of times, from rotating views to dropping in toolbox parts. I usually just press "wait for the program to respond" and after a while it unfreezes, but it's really starting to be a pain.

Not sure what this means, but my CPU is not maxed out when it happens, or even close. Other programs run fine during the freezes, and the task manager shows only about 5-10% CPU usage. Hard drive, network, and memory usage are also normal and not near being maxed out. Here are two screenshots of the freeze with my activity monitor up:

If anyone has any more information about this, or a fix for it, please let me know and I'll be really grateful. The only reference I can find is this, which explains why windows throws the error message, but not why it's happening in the first place
