SolidWorks always recommends using the SolidWorks Installation Manager to download and install software. For several years now I have had much difficulty using this method successfully. I have to repeatedly select the retry since the download will run for a while, then fail, then requires a retry. Sometimes it will restart but most times it fails again and again. Is there something I am doing wrong or is this just a poor download and installation utility? I have been trying all morning to download and install SolidWorks 2014 beta 1 and it is not 11% complete on the download but continuously fails to start again. I am using Internet Explorer. Maybe Chrome is better?
