I teach solidworks and solidworks educational is installed on our computer lab computers by the IT department.
Nearly every time I am helping a student the first thing I do is tell them to "hover over the triangle to the right of the 'solidworks logo' and then go to the right and click the pushpin so the menu stays visible".
- the menu is extremely helpful so I would like it to always be visible to students
- we have wide-screen 24 in monitors (16:9) so there is plenty of room to have it permanently "pinned"
- I often think when I say "click the pushpin" it is the first time they have ever heard the word pushpin
- Exactly what do I tell the IT department to do when automating the solidworks installation across many computers so the text menus (File, Edit, Insert, Tools, Simulation, Window) are always available when a student launches solidworks?
Thank you for your time and I would love to get this addressed since this happens every semester.
