Background:
I was updating some BOM's this morning using solidworks explorer. Each of these BOM's reference the same basic assembly model for one of the views. So I used the replace feature in Solidworks explorer to replace the old assembly with the new one.
Problem:
I typed in the file folder, but left off the part model (i.e. X:\\Solidworks Models\\BOMs instead of X:\\Solidworks Models\\BOMs\\assembly.sldasm) and now the drawings are referencing X:\\Solidworks Models\\BOMs.sldprt
Attempts:
I tried to replace the file in explorer with the correct one, but explorer won't let me replace it as it isn't a solidworks file.
I tried to use the solidworks open button then change the referenced file for each drawing http://help.solidworks.com/2012/English/SolidWorks/sldworks/HIDD_EDITREFERENCED_LOCATIONS.htm
However, it won't let me replace a part with an assembly that way
Any ideas?
