SolidWorks Computer

I have been promised a much improved work station at work due to trying, and failing to open large assemblies and converting large PARA solid and STEP files.

After sending throu recomended SW specs, the IT chap has suggested either of these work stations:

    Now i know the CMT is better, but i am not exactly sure why? Can anyone clarify a little bit for me?

    

    Secondly, does anybody have any suggestions to additional hard/software i should try to get?
