SolidWorks Administration

I am Administrating a SolidWorks installation (SW2025) for multiple desktop users. The Admin Image is set up correctly so are the installations on the desktops. With that being said, here are my Problems.:

1. Some Settings I specify in the AdminOptionSaveFile (.sldsettings) via the AdminOptionEditor, don't get applied and yes I have checked the lock Icon on the corresponding settings correctly.

Example: Display Temporary Axes Upon Hover Over Cylindrical Faces is set to True and is to be applied on every start up and is also locked. When a user opens SolidWorks for the first time, after starting his PC, it gets disabled, when closing and reopening SW, it all of a sudden gets enabled.

2. There a multiple visual glitches in the AdminOptionsEditor. Example: When reopening the .sldsettings file, a certain setting (Can't remember the name) which has been previously locked, appears unlocked, when hovering over said setting the Icon switches to locked.

3. Settings I had defined in a previous session, get changed back or change to an entirely new setting, when reediting the same .sldsettings file. Example: Force Assembly Transparency, even when locked, changes back to the default setting. In this case the setting does get carried over to the users, but there are other settings that don't get applied.

4. The recent file folder is only temporary for users. After logging out it is deleted from the registry. WHY? It's not locked in the External refrences setting. There are other file Positions which have to be locked in the External refrences setting.

It is extremely frustrating to find out that the carefully picked out settings just don't get applied for no reason what so ever. How hard can it be?

Don't even get me startet on all the other settings, which you CAN'T specify in this OptionsEditor. If you want a carbon copy of the settings the Admin user has provided, you gotta export the Registry and apply it. Yes I know that's also exactly what the SettingsExportWizard does, but it copies sensitiv Data, you might not want users to have access to, mainly Search paths or other links to the Admin user (They can be viewed in the Registry editor or sometimes straight up in the SW settings). This application is something else. Please learn how to code.

Hoping for an answer, but seeing as there is nothing on the interweb nor in the Documentation, SolidWorks might not even be aware of these Problems. Just like Todd Howard at Bethesda, they're relying on the community to fix their stuff and add basic functions to their Software.

One huge function that is missing, yet available in any other CAD Software, is the "Edge Condition". Please Add.

This has turned out to be more of a rant, than a question. I hope my Feedback is "Appreciated.

Ps. Not sure if this is common knowledge, but I found out that the SolidWorks Settingsmenu (overall a lot of menus) look very much a like to the Microsoft Visual Studio menus.
