I have a client that contacted me about performance lag in their SolidWorks 2016 program, they replaced the original video card with a new PNY Quadro P1000 recommended by SolidWorks. Now I'm not a SolidWorks expert but rather and IT consultant that they came to, to rectify the video issues which I believe is there this problem lies. Now they came to me after installing it and working with the lag for some time. I have installed the drivers on SolidWorks website and still they are having issues with mouse lag and when typing in distances and measurement numbers the keyboard lags as well. When they had the old video card everything was fine, unfortunately they threw out the old one so I don't know what model it was. They have been operatng on the onboard and enabling OpenGL and seeing improved performance, but only minimal. I have not updated the Nvidia drivers to the latest though, only the version on SolidWorks website. Is there any particular settings I should be setting on the new card, should the onboard be disabled in the BIOs perhaps? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
