Hi all,

We got some files from a vendor, and I simplified the major systems into 8 parts and then proceeded to remove threads, motor fins and etc

I put this in a drawing so I can dump files into DWG formats as still have guys using AutoCAD for some aspects of the project

Just saving the SW drawing took all weekend most likely 24 hours, now to save-as, I am on 5+ hours and still have yet to get the dialog to choose file type.

So what else can I do to speed this process up as this is not the first time

I am using a Dell T5810

Intel Xeon(r) CPU E5-1650 v3 @ 3.50 GHz

32.0 GB ram

Windows 7 64 bit

Nvidia Quadro K2200 video card

Drawing file size is 1,339,323 KB

Assembly file size is 128,629KB

2 parts are 150,000KB

2 parts are 35,000 KB

2 parts are 200 KB

So is there something I need to do, would a better video card help or is do I need a better machine with a faster processor
