I've created some surfacing and want to thicken it, however I'm unable to do it.

When I hit the green check sign, it thinks for a bit, and then a very quick flash of an error pops up, but disappears right away. All I see is a white text bubble so I can't do it several times to try to figure out why it can't thicken this surface in the first place.

Anyone have an idea as to why the error hides without me telling it to?

I have an AMD FirePro M6100 FireGL V running the latest solidworks 2013 driver version 13.251 on a Dell Precision M6800.
